Statue of Liberty

Day 11
June 16 2011
This morning we got up and went to at Aunt Carol’s house to eat breakfast and then we went in the pool remember the really fast pool with the gets that go really, really fast!! After we went in the pool we went to go find dad at the intrepid the intrepid is an air and space museum but we didn’t get to go in the museum. Instead we took a nice COLD BUSSS, with free Wi-Fi. So then I had to E-mail my blog to Mom. After the long and cold bus ride we got off at the ferry and the security to get on the ferry is worse than the airport it was funny. When we got on the ferry dad wanted to go on the top but he couldn’t because it was full so we went to the bow and felt the breeze. It was really nice.

When we got off of the ferry we went to visit the Statue of Liberty. She is not as big as I imagined. She is made mostly of copper which when exposed to the outside air turns green. After the Statue we got back onto another ferry and went to Ellis Island. That is where the immigrants stayed when they were seeking a better life in America. It looked like there sleeping conditions were awful I wouldn’t want to have done that.
We looked for some of our family members because we knew they came through here.
Following that we took a ferry ride back to TKTS in Time Square bought some tickets to see “The Adams family”. We had dinner before the show and the show was amazing. It was helarious.
I managed to get a taxi after the show dad was shocked. Back at the hotel we crashed. Exhausted….
